Is it retro cool to make an allusion to "under construction" yet?

So, I was all about this redesign, and jokingly said that I wanted to make this site more Web 2.0 before Web 4.0 drops.. Problem is, I think we're almost at the breaking point of 'glossy' and hints from Apple say 'matte is the new glossy.' (and, as it stands now, where Apple goes, so goes design...)

So I'm going to try to get ahead of the curve on this one.. But I can't bring myself to put the old site back up, so 'Web Purgatory' it is for now.
